Following a the global live debut of the Toolroom Academy, we are proud to announce our return to the CDJ Show, Toronto for another full day of production seminars and business talks.
A unique way of networking with record label executives and learning from established artists, these events are hugely popular among the producer community.
One of the most gifted producer/engineers in electronic music, Funkagenda is hosting two live production sessions: a Masterclass in the Techno genre, followed by a seminar on the essentials of Sound Design.
Toolroom founder Stuart Knight – who has built the business from scratch, and launched the careers of many international artists (including his brother Mark) gives an insight on how to get signed – all the tactics you need to know once you’ve finished your demo.
Finally, Stuart will be screening the world premiere of Toolroom’s most recent online production course – a Masterclass from House music legend Harry Romero.

The Toolroom Academy is proud to announce its return to Brighton Music Conference for another full day of production talks and seminars from the label’s artist roster.
A unique way of networking with record label A&Rs and learning from established artists, these events are hugely popular among the producer community.
One thing producers crave above anything is meaningful feedback on their tracks. Making an allstar A&R panel, label boss Mark Knight joins local duo Prok & Fitch to offer guidance and advice on the demos submitted.
Josh Butler makes his debut for the Toolroom Academy – one of the most revered young producers of the last few years, he’ll give a session on how he makes that high-calibre, original House sound.
Genre pioneer D.Ramirez – known for his groundbreaking productions in Tech House with Toolroom and many other labels, will give an insightful session on getting tracks over the finish line to a finished state.
Finally, new Toolroom signing Ben Remember – who’s been championed by Annie Mac for his fresh sound – will be building a groove live, from scratch.
