MIAMI 2017: THE TRACKS YOU NEED TO KNOW |Toolroom

All killer, no filler – Toolroom Miami 2017 is out now!

Detlef – Swagon

Greek producer Detlef returned to Repopulate Mars in January this year with his ‘Swagon’ EP. 3 bumpy, groovy tracks, including the lead, ‘Swagon’ – A Soulja Boy re-interpretation. His recent releases have been played by the likes of Jamie Jones (Hot Creations) and Lee Foss, Claude Von Stroke, Green Velvet and it’s clear why! ’Swagon’ will keep you movin’

Basement Jaxx – Jump N Shout (Erik Hagleton Remix) [Toolroom]

Originally hitting the musical shelves way back in 1999, Basement Jaxx’s seminal ‘Jump n Shout’ was originally released on XL Recordings. We were truly buzzing to bring this back to life with an Erik Hagleton remix. Keeping those timeless vocals with a tough, tribal groove, Erik certainly delivered with this one! JUMP N SHOUT!

Solardo – The Aztecs [Toolroom]

Solardo – Everyone’s favourite Northern duo landed on Toolroom in December last year with their ‘Aztecs’ EP. Nothing screams Miami like this! Funky, tribal sounds with a massive baseline and catchy chanted vocals. Solardo have made a big following for themselves in only a short space of time and we were buzzing to welcome their debut on Toolroom with ‘The Aztecs’ EP. You can also catch the pair at our Miami party… All shirts welcome!

KlangKuenstler – Jazzy Jam [Toolroom]

This young German producer has been on our radar for a while, first featuring on our Ibiza 2016 album with exclusive ‘We Need Love’. He’s now welcomed back with his follow up ‘Jazzy Jam’; a chunky House number featuring a nod to Quincy Jones’ ‘Summer In The City’

Nolan Feat Forrest – C’est La Vie (Raumakustik Remix) [Kittball]

Raumakustik deliver yet again! Label favourites joined the Kittball camp to deliver a HUGE remix of ‘C’EST LA VIE’ – Soft delicate vocals from Nolan and Forrest, combined with the Raumakustik’s energy. Perfect Miami vibes.

Paul Woolford – Father [Aus Music]

English producer, Paul Woolford joined Aus Music with the ‘Father, Son & Holy Ghost’ EP. The EP opens with ‘Father’, a lush textured track with strings and synths stabs. The whole EP is clever on Woolford’s part as the B-sides are different interpretations of the A-side. There’s layered strings and emotion. The perfect Miami sunrise track.

DeMarzo – Stomp [Toolroom]

The perfect percussion track, filled with a pumping baseline! ’Stomp’ is the perfect Miami track to keep you going and only the start of things to come with DeMarzo via Toolroom! Keep your eyes peeled…

Bimas – My Music [Strange Idols]

Another huge EP from the Strange Idols. We couldn’t get enough of Leroy’s ‘This Is How We Do It’ and this release is no different. Belgium’s Bimas delivers a 4 track EP, ‘My Music’. Nestling between ‘Have You Ever’ and ‘Primordial’, ‘My Music’ is energetic and the EP certainly has something for everyone, from Tech House to Techno.

Walker & Royce – Fetish [Amber Muse Records]

Following on from big releases for Moda Black, Pets Recordings, W&O Street Tracks, Dirtybird and most recently Relief, Brooklyn based duo Walker & Royce debuted on Amber Muse with ‘Fetish’ – A bumpy track with a heavy baseline featuring repetitive vocal stabs. This is signature Walker & Royce stuff. We love it!

Sean Miller – Control Your Body [Hot Creations]

‘Paradise on Earth’ was the first instalment of an artist led album by Jamie Jones’ outlet, Hot Creations. Up on mixing duties they welcomed regular’s Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Along with two DJ mixes, the album was stacked with brand new music, including Sean Miller’s ‘Control Your Body’ – a homage to the 90s!
